Managing Director, Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Portfolio

As Deputy Chief Investment Officer for Cresset, Archan is responsible for helping guide Cresset’s client investment portfolios. Over the course of his career, Archan has developed lasting innovations designed to improve portfolio outcomes. At Fidelity Institutional Asset Management, his portfolio strategy team assisted leading professional investors to develop better model portfolios. At J.P. Morgan Private Bank, he oversaw the consistent application of strategic, tactical, and manager views across all discretionary investment accounts. At Bernstein Global Wealth Management, he led quantitative research into capital markets over cyclical to secular time horizons.

Archan also co-founded two entrepreneurial ventures in wealth management: portfolio manufacturing pioneer LifeHarbor, now known as Vestmark; and planning-based wealth engine Path Matters.

Archan holds an AB in Applied Math and Computer Science from Harvard College, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®).
