Katie Leimkuehler

Managing Director, Learning and Development

Katie Leimkuehler is the Managing Director of Learning and Development at Cresset where she oversees leadership development programs and training initiatives, mentorship, the internship academy, and live workshops. Her focus is on building programs that create a learning culture with a growth mindset.

Prior to Cresset, Katie worked at Charles Schwab where she coached and trained financial consultants, VPs, and C-Suite executives to grow their brands as thought leaders, manage their teams and excel in the workplace. Katie founded Leimkuehler Media in 2015, where she coaches executives on thought leadership and personal branding and has earned her Executive Coach Certification from the Center of Executive Coaching.

Katie is the Executive Producer of the documentary, “Fresh Tracks,” featuring her grandfather who was one of the first adaptive skiers in the U.S. Her film was accepted into the Vail Film Festival, Denver Film Festival, Twin Cities Film Festival and the Vancouver Independent Film Festival where she was a finalist for Best First Time Filmmaker. She also received the Film Award from the International Skiing History Association for her work.

Previously, she was a Professor of Social Media and Public Relations at the University of Denver’s graduate communication program and prior to that was a Journalist at the Chicago Tribune.

Katie was awarded Northeast Ohio Movers & Shakers Top 25 Under 35 Award in 2019 and has served as a board member for Cleveland Together Digital, a professional development organization for women, and has volunteered with the Junior League of Cleveland and Youth Opportunities Unlimited.

She has her MFA in Fiction Writing from Roosevelt University and a BA in Journalism with a Business Concentration and Creative Writing from Miami University of Ohio.

Katie lives in Cleveland, Ohio and enjoy skiing, hiking and traveling and spending time with family and friends.
