Managing Director, Human Resources
Mary Ceas is Managing Director, Human Resources Executive for Cresset. She is responsible for HR functional excellence and supporting Cresset’s business strategy and values by focusing on maximizing organizational capabilities and creating a high-performing, highly engaged culture. Mary oversees policies, procedures, and compliance relating to employees, as well as ensuring all human resource activities follow local, state, and federal laws.
Mary is an experienced human capital strategist who is committed to developing work cultures that engage employees, build relationships with customers, and partner with communities to drive results.
Prior to joining Cresset, Mary served as Executive Vice President of Pan American Bank & Trust, where she directed all human resource management activities for the bank. Previous to that role, she was Group Senior Vice President-Human Resources for Cole Taylor Bank. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification (2001- 2013), as well as the Human Capital Strategist certification from the Human Capital Institute. In addition, Mary completed the Organizational Development Certificate Program from DePaul University in Chicago.
Mary serves as a board member with YWCA Metropolitan Chicago’s Early Head Start Child Care Program. She previously was a board member for Rainbows for All Children Women’s initiative, as well as a volunteer rehabilitation aide with Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Mary lives in Bloomingdale, Illinois.
