Robert B. Dunkin
Regional Managing Director, West Palm Beach
Bob is a Partner and Regional Managing Director and leads the West Palm Beach office for Cresset. As a senior advisor, Bob works closely with clients to develop an in-depth understanding of individual and family wealth management needs and preferences, and works with a team of specialists to provide tailored solutions for investment management, wealth transition, trust, credit and tax strategies. Bob advises a broad range of clients including: multi-generational families, private business owners and entrepreneurs, public company executives, and private and public foundations.
Prior to joining Cresset, Bob spent over 8 years with U.S. Trust as a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor, where he was part of a team overseeing $2.4 billion in assets under management. Prior to that, Bob was the Chief Financial Officer for a private family office in West Palm Beach and a principal in a private equity investment and consulting firm focused on the acquisition of distressed commercial real estate. Bob began his career as Chief Investment Officer for a private commercial real estate investment company in Dallas, Texas and served as Chief Financial Officer, Director, and owner for a privately held community bank in South Texas.
Bob currently serves as an Executive Board member and Chairman elect for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, and as an Executive Board member for the Palm Beach Zoo. He is an advisory board member for the Lemieux Center for Public Policy at Palm Beach Atlantic University and serves as a member of the vestry at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Bob also served as Chairman of the Valley Baptist Hospital Foundation in Harlingen, Texas, and was a past Co-Chairman of the Advisory Council for Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
Bob is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he received a B.A. in History and an MBA with a concentration in finance and financial accounting. He is also a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
Bob and his wife, Debbie, live in North Palm Beach with their two teenagers, Catherine and Cooper. He is an active outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, running and playing squash.
