Josh provides thoughtful, personalized multi‐generational family, business and legal wealth advisory services to Cresset clients. Using his legal and family office backgrounds, Josh works with clients in various areas, including family meeting design and facilitation, family and business structuring, family governance, family office design, trust, estate and tax planning, risk mitigation, “blind spot” review, development of family “owner’s manuals,” philanthropy, and more.
Josh comes to this work with not only his formal education and decades‐long legal experience, but with the personal experience of having done this work with and for his own multi‐generational family over the past 20 years.
Josh began his career as an attorney with the Chicago law firm, Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg. More recently, Josh managed his family’s single‐family office, overseeing matters as diverse as his family’s 30+ year income and estate tax controversies, reorganizing his family’s complex business, tax, and estate structures, building the systems and tools necessary to function as a single-family office, and maintaining family dialog and harmony among three generations of fifteen individuals with a wide diversity of education, financial and legal literacy, geography, age and needs.
