About Philip

Philip’s role is to develop and nurture high value relationships, building synergy and identifying opportunities in the marketplace for Cresset’s clients, allies and friends. Philip also serves as the Managing Director of Strategic Alliances with Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, a law firm with over 170 attorneys in twelve offices focused in the Mid-Atlantic.

Philip has most recently worked with and advised: The Cordish Company, ARINC, TownePark, Reliable Contracting, Caterpillar and CohnReznick. Prior, Philip was one of the founders and served as Managing Partner of The Bridge Alliance – an alliance of four complementary professional services firms based in the Mid-Atlantic: PSA Insurance & Financial Services, Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, The Washington Group of MassMutual and Clifton Larson Allen.

As an entrepreneur, Philip founded and served as the CEO of Metrum Group, a firm which grew to over 100 employees in multiple offices for almost 20 years. He managed multiple global initiatives and consulted with the leadership for a wide range of companies, including; MasterCard Intl., Europay, Citibank, Diners Club Intl., ServiceMaster, UPS, Tru-Green, Coca-Cola, BP, ARCO, the US Postal Service, Bell South, and Sprint.

Currently Philip sits on and advises the following Boards: The Eisenhower Memorial Presidential Commission*, Economic Round Table for Maryland Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business, NSA National Cryptologic Museum and Foundation*, DEA Education Foundation, Chairman’s Advisory Committee, Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture*, Historic Ships in Baltimore, Army Cyber Institute of West Point Committee member and Private Sector Co-Chair for their global event partnered with NATO – CyCon US 2016 and 2017; United States Secret Service – Electronic Crimes Task Force Steering Committee, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland – (*) Advises the Board/Commission
