Angel Chibuye Chelwa is a vocal women’s rights and health equity advocate. In her role as Managing Director for mPharma in Zambia, she connects patients, doctors, and pharmacies to expand access to quality medicines across East and Southern Africa. As a 2014-2015 Global Health Corps fellow at Population Council in Zambia, Angel collaborated with five other fellows to organize “Don’t MINImize Me,” a march to raise awareness of street harassment in Lusaka. Her work has been spotlighted by AllAfrica.com and AbbVie Foundation. Angel has moderated high-level panels on universal health coverage in Zambia and continues to be a passionate champion of sexual and reproductive health and rights.
