Vimala Snow serves as Executive Managing Director and Head of Family Office Services at Cresset, where she leads a multidisciplinary team that supports the complex needs of ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in wealth strategy, tax, and estate planning, Vimala helps clients navigate multigenerational wealth transfer, family governance, philanthropic initiatives, and business succession with intention and clarity.
Before joining Cresset in 2018, Vimala served as a Senior Wealth Planning Strategist with Abbot Downing, where she led Legacy & Wealth Planning for the Northwest region. Previously, Vimala was Managing Partner of Withers Bergman LLP’s San Francisco office. As a Partner in the Private Client Group, she advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices – both domestic and international – on sophisticated estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, as well as family partnerships, intra-family transactions, and governance frameworks.
Vimala earned her juris doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law, with a certificate in tax studies, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of the State Bar of California and the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council.
Vimala lives in Colorado with her husband, Bret, and their two children, Corbin and Avery, where they enjoy exploring the outdoors together on weekends.
