Ted is a Managing Director of Investment Strategy for Cresset. He has 30 years of investment experience sourcing and conducting due diligence on private market managers and strategies. As a senior member of the investment team, Ted is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s investment due diligence on both private credit and hedge funds.
Ted began his investing career in 1993 and possesses nearly three decades of experience investing in marketable and non-marketable alternatives. Prior to Cresset, Ted served as Vice President, Investments at Berman Capital Advisors. Before Berman, he was Investment Director at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Inc., where he was a senior member of the team managing the hospital’s $4.8 billion endowment. Prior to joining Children’s, Ted spent six years as Senior Portfolio Manager at Barlow Partners Inc., a New York-based, institutionally focused, long/short fund of funds that managed $2 billion at its peak. From 2000-2009, Ted was founder and CIO of Global Strategies Investment Management, a fund of hedge funds focusing on absolute-return strategies.
Ted graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and has spent his career alternating between Atlanta and New York City. In 2015, Ted moved back to Atlanta, where he lives with his wife and three children.
