Cresset announced today that Jessica Malkin will join the firm as Executive Vice President. Malkin most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Chicago Ideas, growing it from a week-long event into a year-round, nationally recognized platform and community for ideas, connections and dynamic programming focused on igniting positive action and change.
As Cresset continues its expansion, Malkin will take on a dedicated role with the firm’s executive leadership team to support strategic growth initiatives—including enhancing client experience, curating learning events and expanding the firm’s national philanthropic, business and civic engagement initiatives.
“We founded Cresset with a simple yet powerful vision: to reinvent the way people experience wealth by expanding access to a proven ecosystem of ideas, solutions and talent,” said Cresset Co-Founder Avy Stein. “Jessica will bring substantial value to our clients and our ecosystem through client events, peer-to-peer learning, and philanthropy. We are thrilled to have her join our independent, employee- and client-owned firm.”
“Over the past five years serving on the Chicago Ideas board, I’ve seen Jessica’s strength as a leader and connector,” added Eric Becker, Cresset Co-Founder and Chicago Ideas Board Member. “Working together has already been impactful for Cresset as a firm and, more importantly, for our clients. I have a deep respect and appreciation for Jessica’s talent as a disruptive thinker and community builder. I am so excited to welcome her to our leadership team.”
Malkin will join the Cresset team officially in early 2020.
“It is a privilege to be joining Cresset’s entrepreneurial team to build a truly differentiated wealth management, multi-family office and private investing platform,” Malkin said. “I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter, or more committed to continuing to make a positive impact for Cresset’s clients and their communities, along with the entire Cresset team.”
