An epidemiologist by training, Mwiche Siame is a passionate advocate for women’s health and diversifying health leadership. She is currently a Strategic Information Officer at The Ministry of Health, Zambia where she served as a 2015-2016 Global Health Corps fellow. Mwiche ensures the availability of quality data to guide decision making and policy direction on a national level, with a particular focus on HIV and cervical cancer programming. She also trains program officers and health workers to measure performance and improve health outcomes. Mwiche has presented her work at global conferences, including the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute Symposium and the American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Conference.
