Vimala Snow brings experience in comprehensive multigenerational wealth transfer planning and planned charitable giving to her role as Managing Director and Head of Wealth Strategy of Cresset. She is passionate about helping preserve and grow family wealth in a manner that achieves her clients’ personal, financial, business, and charitable goals.

Before joining Cresset in 2018, Vimala served as a Senior Wealth Planning Strategist with Abbot Downing and led Legacy & Wealth Planning for the Northwest region.  Prior to that, Vimala was Managing Partner of Withers Bergman LLP’s San Francisco office.  As a Partner in the Private Client Group, her practice focused on sophisticated tax and estate planning for ultra-high net worth individuals, families and family offices, with an emphasis on income, estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax efficiency at both federal and state levels for US and international clients.  She has extensive experience with wills, trusts, family partnerships, intra-family loans, gift/sale transactions, and governance for closely held businesses.

Vimala earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law with a Certificate in Tax Studies. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Vimala is a member of the State Bar of California and is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council.

Vimala and her husband, Bret, spend their weekends exploring Colorado’s beautiful landscape with their son, Corbin, and daughter, Avery.
