Ali Kahil is a Director, Tax Services Automation & Operations, helping Family Office clients with preparing individual, partnership, trust, and foundation tax returns, as well as implementing technological efficiencies for tax and financial planning processes. Prior to joining Cresset, Ali worked with Buckingham Strategic Wealth in their financial planning unit. He has also been previously featured on CNBC’s Closing Bell television program and recognized by The Motley Fool for his writings on millennial investing.
Ali graduated from George Mason University’s Costello College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Global Affairs. During his time at the university, Ali served as President of The Montano Student Investment Fund, an institutional member of the Washington Association of Money Managers.
In the community, Ali created the Kahil Family Scholarship to support refugees and children of refugees. The scholarship is currently being awarded at George Mason University and James Madison University, with the goal of having the fund available at every major public university within the Commonwealth of Virginia by 2030. He also sits on George Mason University’s degree advisory board for the Financial Planning and Wealth Management program. In 2022, Ali was awarded one of the Costello College of Business highest honors with the Prominent Patriot award for his professional, academic, and philanthropic achievements.
