Bernardo Murillo, E.A. is a Director, Tax Services and provides advice and guidance to high-net-worth individuals on their various types of closely held businesses and nonprofit organizations. He brings more than 20 years of experience assisting clients through the tax preparation process, and consulting on various federal, state, and local tax issues.
Prior to joining Cresset, Bernardo served as a senior manager at Treasury Wine Estates in their in-house tax department helping to manage the day-to-day tax function of a multi-national wine company. He also spent much of his career in public accounting, including six years running his own tax practice and four years at PwC. During that time, Bernardo advised individuals and businesses on income and estate tax planning strategies and prepared and filed corporate, partnership, individual, gift, and exempt organization tax returns.
Bernardo graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Santa Clara University and is licensed as an enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service.
In his spare time, Bernardo plays roller hockey and enjoys attending sporting events for his local teams. He’s already seen the San Francisco Giants win the World Series but still hopes to one day see the San Jose Sharks raise the Stanley Cup. He resides in Oakland, California, with his wife and two hilarious cats.
