Bill Buchband is a Managing Director, Wealth Advisor at Cresset. He provides customized advice to clients on asset allocation strategies and identifies investment opportunities that allow them to accomplish their financial objectives. Bill has spent his entire career of over 30 years counseling wealthy individuals and families on investment related matters and wealth management.
Prior to joining Cresset in 2017, Bill spent 10 years as a Senior Investment Advisor with JPMorgan’s Private Bank, where he advised private business owners, corporate executives, financial and real estate professionals, and multi-generational families on investing their personal wealth. He also managed private foundation and endowment assets related to those private clients.
Previously, Bill worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Private Client groups at LaSalle Bank and First Chicago. He started his career at Sanford Bernstein & Co. in New York.
Bill holds a BA in Political Science from Duke University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and member of the CFA Society Chicago.
Bill is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling and hiking with his wife and three grown children.
