Chris DeMonte has been working in the Wealth Management and Private Banking industries since 1993. At Cresset, he is a Managing Director, Wealth Advisor and a member of the firm’s executive committee. As a Wealth Advisor, Chris works with a team of internal and external multidisciplinary experts to understand, enhance and improve upon a family’s entire wealth picture. This encompasses advising on estate and wealth transfer, financial planning, philanthropic endeavors, banking and credit needs, along with customizing an appropriate investment delivery.
Before Cresset, Chris worked as a Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor at Neuberger Berman where he was part of a team overseeing $1.6 billion in assets under management. Prior to that, Chris served as an Executive Director and Investor with J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank working with $1.5 billion of high-net-worth and not-for-profit assets. He has also had investment and wealth advisory roles with Citi Private Bank, Northern Trust and U.S. Trust in the Silicon Valley.
Chris has a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and member of the CFA Chicago Society. Chris is also one of Barron’s Top 100 Independent Advisors, on Barron’s Top 1,200 U.S. Financial Advisors list, along with being a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor since 2021. Chris lives in Naperville, IL with his wife, Heather. They have two IU Hoosier boys, Samuel and Owen.
