Derek is an Associate Director, Fixed Income Trading & Operations in Cresset’s Chicago office, serving high-net-worth and family office clients. In this role, he is responsible for constructing and implementing efficient and customized fixed income portfolios, which are tailored to a client’s specific needs.
Prior to joining Cresset, Derek spent two years as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for Bankers’ Bank, where he actively managed a diverse portfolio of fixed income securities, while adhering to rapidly changing market conditions. Prior to his work at Bankers’ Bank, Derek worked as an Institutional Fixed Income salesperson for Piper Sandler, where he provided investment solutions to a myriad of institutions.
Derek graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He and his wife, Christina, live outside of Chicago with their dog, Hank. In his free time, Derek enjoys playing golf and learning about history.
