Managing Director, Deputy General Counsel

Sarah Adams is a Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at Cresset. In her role, she provides strategic guidance to executive management and other business partners, and enjoys working collaboratively across the firm.  She advises on a wide range of matters, including wealth management, private funds, Advisers Act compliance, and corporate governance activities.

Before joining Cresset, Sarah served as the lead attorney for a registered investment adviser with more than $100 billion in assets under management.  In that role, she supported a diversified wealth management platform by drafting client agreements, advising on new regulatory requirements, and negotiating advisor recruiting and retention deals.

Sarah has also practiced in the fund formation groups of three global law firms, representing managers of private funds that employed a diverse array of strategies.

Sarah earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
