Cresset Announces New Chief Investment Officer, Chief Investment Strategist, and Chief Operating Officer

CHICAGO – July 29, 2025 – Reflecting its significant growth and leading position as one of the largest multi-family offices in the nation,  Cresset announced today the following updates to its C-suite team: current Executive Managing Director Mike Silverman has been named Chief Investment Officer. Current Chief Investment Officer Jack Ablin is being elevated to the role of Chief Investment Strategist. And current Chief Compliance Officer Amy Hong will take on the additional role of Chief Operating Officer..

In his new role, Ablin will focus on analyzing and distilling macroeconomic trends impacting Cresset’s investment strategies. As Chief Investment Officer, Silverman will apply those insights to Cresset’s investment strategies and lead the Investment Team in providing clients with highly sophisticated public and private investment solutions.

Ablin is one of the Founding Partners of Cresset and has been with the firm since 2018. He has more than three decades of experience in money management and was formerly the Chief Investment Officer of BMO Harris Bank.

Silverman joined Cresset in 2024 following Cresset’s acquisition of CH Investment Partners, where he served as Co-President and Chief Investment Officer. After finishing a 10-year banking career, Silverman spent more than 30 years working in and adjacent to the Crow Holdings organization building an investment program starting in the early 2000s to diversify the Crow Holdings’ investment assets from real estate into a multi-disciplinary investment program.

Hong is a seasoned C-suite executive with more than 25 years of experience in the investment management industry who joined Cresset in 2024. She previously served as Managing Director of Asset and Wealth Management at JPMorgan Chase, and prior to that as Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Operations for the Private Wealth Management business line of First Republic Bank.
