CHICAGO, Oct. 16, 2023 – Cresset announced today that it has hired Jon Baldwin, MSL, CISSP, CISM, CISA as the firm’s first Chief Information Security Officer. Baldwin will be responsible for maintaining a corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that the integrity and confidentiality of Cresset client, business, and employee information are protected. He brings a proven track record of success in developing and executing complex information security strategies, operations, and programs in diverse and rapidly evolving business environments.

Baldwin most recently served as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for Janus Henderson Investors, where he transformed two small national companies into a security-focused global enterprise and developed IT security strategies to protect the information assets of the business. Previously, he was Senior Manager of Corporate Security for Cognizant, a global IT services and consulting organization, where he acted as a trusted liaison and business partner designing and implementing strategies to support a higher return on investment, mitigate risks, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiencies.

Baldwin earned a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Law from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Colorado State University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and a ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
