Matt Teich is a Managing Director, Wealth Advisor for Cresset. He provides customized consultation on complex financial issues facing the Firm’s clients and their professional advisors in achieving their long-term goals. Matt has over 20 years of experience in advanced asset allocation planning, retirement planning, estate planning, planning in advance of a business sale, concentrated single-stock exposure, and stock option exercise planning.
Prior to joining Cresset, Matt was a Wealth Strategist with J.P. Morgan, where he led the effort to develop and implement a goals-based planning framework for the Private Bank. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Matt held similar positions at Bessemer Trust, Bernstein Global Wealth Management, and Bank of America.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in taxation from DePaul University, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Additionally, Matt holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council.
Matt is actively involved in his community and spends his free time with his wife and three daughters where they live in the Chicago suburbs.
