Executive Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer

Amy Hong is Executive Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer at Cresset. She is a seasoned C-suite executive and board member with over 25 years of experience in the investment management industry, where she has successfully led transformations in multiple functions across various organizations. In this role, Amy is responsible for the oversight, adherence, and implementation of Cresset’s legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.

Prior to Cresset, she served as Managing Director of Asset and Wealth Management at JPMorgan Chase. Before that, she was the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Operations for the Private Wealth Management business line of First Republic Bank. She has also held various compliance leadership roles across firms such as ING Investment (Voya), Barclays Global Investors (BlackRock), and Prudential Financial. Additionally, she worked for the Financial Advisory group of Ernst & Young, where she advised clients on compliance and operations.

Having grown up in both Korea and the U.S., Amy is passionate about mentoring as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has served on the board of various nonprofits focused on education and currently serves as a Trustee on the Board for the San Francisco Day School. Amy graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She lives in San Francisco with her daughter.
