Derek Chipman is a Associate Director, Private Investment Reporting, focused on portfolio management and investment strategies. Derek works directly with clients’ advisors to provide portfolio construction and implementation as well as due diligence and ongoing investment monitoring. Using data-driven metrics to evaluate investment performance, Derek provides clients with advanced private investment reporting. He is a primary point of contact for relationships with third-party investment managers and a member of Cresset’s Investment Committee.
Derek received a B.B.A in Finance and minor in Economics from James Madison University and passed the General Securities Representative Exam (Series 7).
As an active participant in giving back within the community, Derek is involved with several charitable organizations including Feeding America, Britepaths, Operation Gratitude and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. He has also given his time to projects at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Fisher House. Derek resides in Ashburn, VA
