James Melvin serves as Executive Managing Director at The Connable Office, a Cresset company. James’ engineering background helps him solve large-scale complexities in creative ways. His love for people and new experiences gives him the ability to create deep, personal connections with both team members and client families.
James earned a J.D., MBA, and bachelor’s degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. He serves on the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra’s Investment Advisory Committee, and as an officer and director for several family foundations throughout the country. He is a member of the Kalamazoo, State of Michigan, and American Bar Associations.
