John Michael Klopfenstein is an Associate Director, Wealth Advisor supporting a nationally scoped advisor team at Cresset. Now in his fifth year in the industry, John Michael brings a strong foundation in portfolio management, finance and operations, along with a deep passion for helping clients navigate complex financial decisions.
He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the transaction accounting advisory practice before transitioning into wealth management.
John Michael graduated magna cum laude with honors from the University of Georgia in 2019, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in finance and accounting. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society South Florida, and he previously held CPA licenses in North Carolina and Colorado.
Originally from Atlanta, John Michael now lives in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife, daughter and their chocolate Labrador retriever. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, skiing and watching college football.
