John Michael Klopfenstein is an Associate Director, Wealth Advisor supporting a nationally scoped advisor team at Cresset. Now in his fourth year in the industry, John Michael brings a strong foundation in portfolio management, finance, and operations, along with a deep passion for helping clients navigate complex financial decisions.
He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the transaction accounting advisory practice before transitioning into wealth management.
John Michael graduated magna cum laude with honors from the University of Georgia in 2019, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in finance and accounting. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charterholder, a member of the CFA® Institute and the CFA® Society South Florida. He previously held CPA licenses in North Carolina and Colorado.
Originally from the Southeast, John Michael now lives in Jupiter, Florida with his wife and their chocolate labrador puppy. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, skiing, and watching college football.
