Kelly Downs is the Regional Managing Director, East Region at Cresset. In her role, she is responsible for ensuring that our Advisors have the best tools and thoughtful processes so they can provide our clients with the best service and experience possible. She collaborates directly with Advisors to understand their needs as well as the needs of our clients and partners with others internally and externally to deliver appropriate solutions.
Prior to Cresset, Kelly served as the COO for Berman Capital Advisors. She joined during the firm’s infancy and had her hand in virtually all parts of the business for more than 10 years, working in both client-facing and back-office operational roles. Earlier in her career, she worked in the Private Wealth Management division of Goldman Sachs & Co., where she specialized in operations and client service for the firm’s high-net-worth and family office clients. Kelly also spent nine years at Fisher Investments, primarily in management positions overseeing various functions, such as client operations, recruiting, client reporting, and trading.
Kelly graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. She obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2013 after completing the required coursework at UGA’s Terry College of Business.
Kelly lives in Atlanta with her husband, Chris, and their daughter.
