Michael MacDonald is a Managing Director, Wealth Advisor at Cresset’s Boca Raton office. He brings more than 31 years of experience to his work with individuals, families and businesses, designing and executing tailored investment and wealth preservation strategies aligned with their long-term objectives. His approach combines institutional discipline with firsthand entrepreneurial insight.
Before building his career in wealth management, Michael established and directed the West Coast operations of his family’s transportation company and helped navigate its acquisition by a Fortune 100 enterprise. His family’s liquidity event inspired his transition into the financial sector and provides him with a personal understanding of the complexities, opportunities and emotional considerations associated with significant wealth transitions.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Arizona State University and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He and his wife have three grown sons who live across the country. Outside of work, Michael enjoys staying active through fitness, cycling and fishing.
