Stephen Berardi is Managing Director, Wealth Advisor and serves on Cresset’s Investment Committee. Steve and his team direct a unified, data-driven approach to asset allocation, investment manager due diligence and portfolio implementation. Through True Fiduciary® standards, Steve helps bring clarity and transparency to Family Office clients on complex financial planning, investment strategies and ongoing portfolio management. Steve has over 20 years of experience working directly with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and has led national committees ranging from portfolio implementation to elevating the multi-family office experience.
Steve came to Cresset with the PagnatoKarp acquisition. Prior to joining PagnatoKarp, he was Director of Asset Management for Abbot Downing, the multi-family office of Wells Fargo, where he provided ultra-high-net-worth clients with strategic long-term investment guidance. He also held past positions as Family Investment Officer for GenSpring Family Offices and Director of Investment Advisory Services at Wealth & Tax Advisory Services. Steve’s extensive experience includes advising executives, wealthy individuals, and entities on overall investment planning, with responsibilities for investment policy formation, asset allocation strategy development, investment manager selection, portfolio performance monitoring, and client relationship management.
Steve is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, and is a member of both the CFA Institute and Washington Society of Investment Analysts. He graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Finance and Marketing.
In the community, Steve is passionate about coaching, educating, and inspiring our nation’s youth. In addition to coaching lacrosse and soccer, he is active with The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC, whose mission is to shape the lives of young people by reinforcing the values of integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf. Steve is also working to establish a youth financial literacy school program to educate children about finances. An avid supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association, Steve is involved in activities that support its research and funding.
