Cresset has hired Noël Goudreau as Associate General Counsel. In her role, Goudreau will provide counsel on a wide variety of legal matters, including M&A activities, employment and benefits, compliance and regulatory issues, and securities.
Goudreau has extensive experience across a wide range of organizational and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions within the investment advisor industry. She has advised privately-held entities on various ownership and corporate governance issues, along with employment matters. Her work has included representing clients in a variety of transactions, including private equity offerings, strategic investments, and joint ventures. Goudreau also has substantial experience with regulatory and compliance matters within the financial service provider industry.

Prior to Cresset, Goudreau was a corporate Principal with the law firm Miller Canfield Paddock & Stone PLC, where she concentrated on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities laws, and complex commercial transactions. Her primary focus over the past 15 years has been in serving closely held businesses in the financial services and investment management industry.
Goudreau earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, and graduated cum laude with a J.D. degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is an active supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and participates in the organization’s annual walks and fundraising efforts.
Goudreau and her husband live in the Chicago area with their three teenage daughters.
