Gus Spaulding is Managing Director, Wealth Advisor with Cresset’s Denver office. At Cresset, Gus works with clients to help them identify and reach their wealth goals. He provides advice on multi-generational wealth transfer, financial planning, philanthropic endeavors, banking, and credit needs. For clients with investment management needs, Gus and his partners design customized solutions in both public and private markets.
Gus is experienced in working with clients to address the complexity that can accompany significant wealth. He previously held similar roles at both Bank of America Private Bank and J.P. Morgan Private Bank in both Denver and New York City. In these roles, he was responsible for developing and managing relationships with private business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, high-net-worth families, and philanthropic institutions.
Gus is the President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute (EPI). He also holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation from EPI, which is a highly prestigious program.
Gus earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with a major in Economics and a minor in Sociology. He is also an alumnus of the Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation and the Teach for America Colorado Champions Circle. Gus is also on the Colorado Associate Board for ACE Scholarships.
Gus lives in Denver and enjoys spending time with his incredible family. His wife, Dana, is an entrepreneur and business owner, and they have two young children. His hobbies include golf, skiing, hiking, and chasing toddlers.
