Michael Juettner is a Managing Director, Investment Strategy and a member of Cresset’s National Investment Team. Michael is responsible for formulating and developing Cresset’s asset allocation processes, using quantitative research, analysis, portfolio optimization, and Monte Carlo simulation. Michael is also co-chair of Cresset’s manager due diligence committee, providing guidance and analysis in the manager selection process.
Prior to joining Cresset, Michael spent three years as an Investment Analyst at Morningstar Investment Management, where he helped to set asset allocation targets and construct portfolios using a variety of mutual funds and ETFs. Prior to joining Morningstar Investment Management, Michael worked in product development at Morningstar, Inc.
Michael holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, concentrating in Statistics and Analytical Finance. He also earned his Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
Michael lives in Chicago and is a passionate White Sox fan. He also loves to play volleyball and enjoys discussing history and politics.
