Ray Fernandez, Jr., CPA/PFS, CFP® is a Managing Director, Wealth Advisor with Cresset. He has more than 20 years of experience serving high-net-worth individuals and private company owners, most recently as a Senior Private Wealth Advisor with Asset Management Advisors.
Ray has previous experience as a Wealth Planning Advisor with Lincoln Financial Advisors, and as a Financial Advisor at several national firms, including Northwestern Mutual, Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley.
Before entering the financial planning profession, Ray practiced as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for 15 years, including more than five years with the audit divisions of Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse.
Ray graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He became a CPA in 1984 and a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) professional in 2004. He is currently a member of the AICPA’s Personal Financial Planning Section, TXCPA Houston (a chapter of the TSCPA), the Financial Planning Association, Pinnacle Equity Solutions, and Vistage. Ray is also Vice President and a Board Member of the Houston M&A Forum, which provides a forum for business owners and their advisors involved in merger and acquisition activities.
Ray lives in Katy, Texas, with his wife, Jina, who are both avid Houston Astros fans.
