Sophia Browne is Associate Director, Banking & Lending in Cresset’s San Francisco Office. She serves as the national lead for all banking & lending strategies for Cresset’s clients, with a focus on the complex borrowing needs of founders, executives of public and private companies, investment principals, high-net-worth families, and their businesses.
Prior to Cresset, Sophia spent four years at First Republic Bank, where she activated bespoke credit facilities for private equity and venture capital firms. In her role, she qualified credit and risk related to fund investments, managed existing relationships, and effectively facilitated communication between internal teams and external legal partners. Before FRB, Sophia held an operations role at Parallel Advisors, a San Francisco RIA, where she developed new process and procedures for alternative investments. Sophia has strong client facing experience, including managing a diverse range of clientele, cultivating networks, and finding creative ways to solve problems.
Sophia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, business entrepreneurship and innovation, from the University of San Francisco. She lives in Corte Madera, CA with her husband Rick and three dogs: Manny, Melvin, and Kippe. Outside of work, Sophia spends time exploring new trails on the Pacific Coast with her horse, Buddha.
