About Chris Boehm
Chris Boehm is a Executive Managing Director, Cresset Private Capital, an alternative asset manager making investments in private equity, real estate, secondaries and other asset classes. He leads Cresset Partners’ private capital efforts, making control and non-control equity and structured debt investments in private companies across a range of industry verticals, and serves on its investment committee. Chris is also a co-founder of Cresset Manager, LLC (“CM”), Cresset Partners’ parent company and the parent company of Cresset Asset Management, a Chicago-based wealth management firm.
Prior to co-founding CM and Cresset Partners, Chris spent over twenty years as a private equity partner and finance and strategy executive with Willis Stein & Partners. During that time, he led investments in a number of private companies across a range of industries, including business and industrial services, consumer services, education and health care. He also was a co-founder and member of the board of directors of Lincoln Clean Energy, a renewable energy development platform established in 2009. Prior to joining Willis Stein, Chris began his career in the investment banking group of Salomon Brothers.
Chris resides in Winnetka, IL with his wife and three children. He is active in the Chicago community and serves as a member of the board of directors of the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, the Evans Scholars Foundation and the Western Golf Association.
About Matt Mongia
Matt is a Managing Director of Cresset Partners, where he focuses primarily on investments in the asset management and wealth management sectors, including strategic, non-control equity, and structured debt transactions.
Prior to Cresset, Matt founded SharpVue Capital, an investment management affiliate of Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina. As Managing Director he helped build the firm infrastructure and team that successfully launched a wealth management platform and funds focused on private equity, co-investments, and private real estate.
Previously, Matt was an Operating Advisor with Thoma Bravo, LLC, a private equity firm based in Chicago and San Francisco, where he led the firm’s effort focused on acquisitions of asset management and wealth management businesses and completed a majority-interest acquisition of Segall Bryant & Hamil, a Chicago-based asset management firm. Prior to joining Thoma Bravo, he was Managing Director of Religare Global Asset Management in New York, where he completed two majority-interest acquisitions of alternative asset management firms.
Earlier in his career, Matt was Managing Director at Vishwas Capital, and Director at Monsoon Capital, both private asset management firms that focused on public market investments in India. He also was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Franklin Street Partners and served in a variety of roles with Fidelity Investments.
Matt has been a member of the management board and operating committee of several asset management firms and holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
