Joe Zidle is Executive Managing Director and Chief Market Strategist at Cresset, where he leads the firm’s macroeconomic outlook and market strategy and serves as a key voice to clients.
Joe brings decades of experience translating macro complexity into clear, actionable investment frameworks. Before joining Cresset, he founded Zidle Macro Strategy Group, an independent research firm serving RIAs, family offices, and institutional allocators. Previously, he spent nearly eight years as Chief Investment Strategist for Blackstone’s Private Wealth Solutions business, where he led thematic research, shaped asset allocation views, and served as the firm’s macro voice to a global client base. Earlier in his career, Joe served as portfolio strategist at Richard Bernstein Advisors. He has also held the roles of Head of Investment Strategy for Global Wealth Management and Deputy Director of the Research Investment Committee at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
His disciplined, evidence-based approach was shaped by his service as a military intelligence specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1993 to 2001.
Joe is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and other major financial media outlets. He holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Emory University.
Joe serves as Co-Chair of the Wall Street Warriors Executive Leadership Team in support of Stop Soldier Suicide, a national nonprofit dedicated to preventing suicide among veterans and service members.
